Not your typical Accounting Practice Manager, EJ is an artist and creative who found a passion for operations, efficiency, practices, and protocols while managing some of the best and busiest coffee shops in Manhattan.
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, EJ’s life has taken him a lot of different places and found him doing many different things. He has been an actor in several different cities in the US and Europe; he has been a special education teacher, property management team lead, and more here in Pittsburgh; and most recently he was managing coffee shops and doing some marketing and development consulting in New York City. He has a bachelor's degree from Messiah University, a master's degree from Chatham University, and another master’s degree from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow.
Living and working in New York City was amazing, but the hustle got the best of EJ, and he started to long for a more relaxed pace, the closeness of family, and some much-needed space and grace to focus on his own well-being. Moving back to Pittsburgh to slow down was the plan, but somehow, EJ forgot to take into consideration that he was going to work for an accounting firm at the beginning of tax season. So, while slowing down may not have been on the menu, he has jumped in and been making great strides to upgrade the organization and efficiency at Villiotti & Associates, making room for improvements and growth to better serve our clients.
Outside of the office, EJ keeps busy: improving his craft as an actor, working songs with his vocal coach, practicing the guitar, writing, reading…the list goes on. Oh, and cooking – EJ is quite the foody and coffee nut.
